Scallywags Grill

Scallywags Grill is another of the eat-out outings we took while on our recent vacation. It's on the town square in Winchester, TN.

That spiral staircase in the photo below is functional and leads to a space that used to be an additional dining area. Now there's no public access, and it's used for storage.

I had the hamburger, onion rings, and a coke. Very good! And the service (we sat at the counter) was pleasant and prompt. I can't find the menu online, but the prices were quite reasonable.

We like these outings into nearby towns when we're on vacation, especially when the park doesn't have an onsite restaurant.

I'm joining the T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth. Please join us and share a drink of your choice.

  5. What a fabulous out of the way place you found. I love these mom and pop places that are not chains. I think this is great, and like the others, I adore that staircase and the name of the restaurant.

I hope you are faring OK, because I see you were supposed to have lots of rain forecast for you.

Thanks for sharing your drink and food at Scallywags and thanks for taking us there, too.

    1. We haven't gotten the rain yet. They're predicting 6 inches before the week-end is over as the outskirts of the Harvey storm reach out towards us. They are clearing storm drains and sweeping streets here in preparation, and we're not expecting damage. Poor Texas, though! What a monster storm!

  11. That looks like my kind of lunch. It looks delicious. :) I think onion rings are way better with a burger than fries or a chips. Happy T day. hugs-Erika

We are still travelling. At the moment though at our daughter's house, and she is busy today, so I have time to spend at the computer.
