Oven-Baked Salmon


This is so easy, and yet I have trouble remembering and keeping up with a recipe. I'm putting it where where I can find it:

Ingredients:
Salmon fillets, as desired

Salt, pepper, lemon peel; or other seasoning to taste
Pre-heat oven to 425F.

Place fillets on a baking pan. You can use foil or oil the surface of the pan if you like.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Sprinkle lemon peel on top.

Bake 20 minutes in pre-heated oven.

You can garnish these, of course, with sliced almonds or parsley, but I tend to plate them just as they are.

  1. I cooked some recently that I'll be sharing on my blog soon. I placed the first large filet on parchment paper, wrapped it, then baked at 300F for 30 minutes. The second one I cooked in foil in a bit of lemon juice and butter to cover the bottom of the foil. Then I added dill and other herbs to the top. My salmon fillets were about 1 1/2 lbs each and covered an entire 9 X 12 cake pan. Yours look delicious, too.

    1. I don't wrap mine, but I do sometimes use lemon juice. You had quite a lot of salmon!

  2. I love most fish and salmon is definitely a favorite. Yum. I bet you could even put this on a salad, or eat it with mashed potatoes and a nice steamed veggie. Now I am hungry. :) Hugs-Erika
