Out of the Inkwell

Out of the Inkwell is a Fleischer silent short animated film series that ran from 1918-1929. It was reactivated in the 1950s. Here's one (The Cartoon Factory) from 1924:



and one (Koko's Earth Control) from 1928:

    1. The shorts are so easy to watch, without that 2-hour commitment many movies require, and I find it interesting to see the oldies :)

  3. Two weird little animations--LOL! I remember Walt Disney doing some drawings similar to this...showing the ink pen while it was drawing...on the Walt Disney Show on Sunday night. His were much more optimistic, shall we say--LOL! :)

    1. I think some humor is timeless, but some is purely a product of its time that doesn't age well. I wonder which of our comedy films will still be considered funny 100 years from now.
