How to Make Coffee, Amateur Style

Nikki starts with beans, then mentions grinders on her way to showing how to make different coffees:

I don't like milk in coffee -to be honest, I don't much like milk at all- but I do like espresso. I don't have an espresso maker. I'm always tempted, but I haven't yet made the plunge.

Please join the weekly T party over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog where you'll find a drink and a warm welcome waiting for you.

  3. That coffee looks yummy. I'm usually just a basic black coffee person myself. Although in the summer I do enjoy a good cold-press.
    Happy T day!

  4. I got hooked on 1/2 and 1/2 in coffee when I was in high school. My grandmother couldn't get me to drink milk, so added some to coffee. Soon it graduated to the "good" stuff. Now I'm an addict and can't live without my caffeine. I grind my beans with each pot I make, so i was happy to see that. I got hooked on whole beans when my friend Joseph gave me a grinder and 1/2 lb of coffee. It tastes SO much better (and fresher) that way, too.

Thanks for sharing this video with us for T this Tuesday.

  7. Interesting. I don't like the taste of coffee, but I love the smell. When I was a kid, there was a grocery store that sold their special coffee blend as a whole bean. You could have the shop clerk grind the beans for you in this big mill. While my parents shopped, I loved to stand by the mill and smell the beans as they were being ground. Happy T Day

  10. I'm not much of a coffee person, but my hubby has a grind&brew machine and I just love the smell. I also have a small espresso machine and I will make myself a coffee occasionally. Thanks for sharing the video.

  13. ha ha...I always say I don't speak the language of fancy coffee! but looks like (from the comments) that I'm one of the few who likes milk in their coffee! but not sure I would go to the trouble of all these steps. It's all rather mysterious to me, all the different names and techniques. Good video! Happy T day!

  14. I drink it black, but do grind the beans. Not familiar with the fancy coffees so this was interesting to me. The only different coffee I have tried is a cafe mocha. Don't know how they make it but they are yummy! :)

  16. Not a coffee drinker personally, but it was still a cool video to watch. When I think of all the how to's you can find on the internet we must have been pretty ignorant people before computers. Ha-ha-Hugs-Erika
