Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet

Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet is a 1965 re-edited version of Planeta Bur dubbed in English. This version stars Basil Rathbone. I like the art in the background behind the opening credits. The music is by Ronald Stein. That voice-over narration starts things off explaining that the moon has been colonized and they have mounted an expedition to seek life on Venus. There's a robot and a token woman on the mission, but the woman remains in orbit while the men and the robot go down to the planet. It turns out there is life!

You can watch it online compliments of googlevideo:

or at the Internet Archive.

1000 Misspent Hours calls it "stylish and inoffensive, but also mostly empty". Moria has a review. Million Monkey Theater says it's "a hatchet job" but that
considering the limitations of the source material, and what was surely a budget running into the tens of dollars, Corman gave us a pretty fair and watchable movie.
