Chindi, by Jack McDevitt

I finished Chindi this afternoon. I've read and enjoyed a couple of other books by Jack McDevitt: The Engines of God and Infinity Beach. In this one I liked the exploration of alien cultures and artifacts, but I got tired of wondering who would die next as they kept insisting on dangerous activities in spite of the rising death toll.
